Santa Run 2024

Santa will be coming to Upwey on Tuesday 17th & Wednesday 18th of December.

The BLUE area of the map will be covered Tuesday 17th December with the RED being covered Wednesday 18th December.

We will depart the fire station around 5.30pm and there are some streets we will NOT be travelling down, if you live in the following streets we recommend you walk to the closest corner. You will hear him coming

Bushfire Community Meeting 2024

2024 Bushfire Community Meeting incorporating Fire Safety Essentials

Fire Safety Essentials is a FREE 1 hour session to help you learn:

How to know if there is a fire nearby
What to expect during a bushfire or grassfire
Your local bushfire or grassfire risk
The importance of having a plan
Basic survival tips if your fire plan fails

Where? Upwey CFA fire station, corner Old Belgrave Rd and Main St Upwey

When? 4:00pm Saturday November 30 2024

We will also be holding an Open Day from 2:00pm.
Lots of fun activities for young and old, meet your local firefighters, see our fire trucks.

Traffic Light Collection

Upwey CFA is holding their traffic light collection this Saturday morning.

Members will be out at Burwood Highway and Morris Road intersection Saturday 16th November 2024.

Your “loose change” donation will be greatly appreciated and help fund the purchase of fire fighting equipment and other operational expenses.

2nd Chance Booksale 2024

Join us Saturday 17th August 2024 at the Upwey Fire Brigade 2nd Chance Booksale.

We have a big range of used books, CDs, DVDs and vinyl records available for sale with some items available from just $1-00 each.

Doors open from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

Grab yourself a bargain, meet the wonderful volunteers from your local fire brigade and enjoy a drink or a bite to eat at the sausage sizzle. Get information about how to be fire safe.

Everyone at Upwey CFA is excited to announce the 53rd Annual Jumble Sale will be held Saturday May 4th 2024.

A timeless tradition of the Upwey township. This once-a-year event offers an opportunity for the community to upcycle unwanted goods and score a bargain buy.

Bushfires happen every year!

Spend 1 hour with your local CFA and learn how you can keep you, your family and your friends safe from fire this season.

Open Day Saturday 28th October 2023

Upwey CFA invites you to join us Saturday 28th October 2023 when we open our doors to the community.

Meet your local fire fighters. Get great tips and information about the risks of bush fires in our area, what to do in an emergency and how to prepare your property.

Lots of fun for kids of all ages including getting your photo taken in a real fire truck
